After the success of the first nursery, i.e., Lila Nursery, Mr. Kiran Mehta thought of expanding his nursery. Due to space constraints in Mumbai, in 1984 he acquired 7 acres of land in Mahagaon in Boisar, Maharashtra for the setup of his second nursery, Shreenath Garden.

The huge spread of space allowed for cultivating, breeding and nurturing of the mother plants of several varieties and also for the other plant related products. As a result Lila nursery became the retail outlet where the day-to-day sales are done, whereas Shreenath Garden has become the main nursery for propagation of plants, where wholesale supply is dispatched directly from the farm.
